Worked as a resident doctor in M&J Western Regional Institute of Ophthalmology. As a part of training was rotated in all the subspecialities of ophthalmology like cornea, retina, glaucoma, oculoplastics, paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus and contact lens clinics.
It is one of the largest regional institutes in the country having a 250 bed capacity and is an independent eye hospital. Worked from Feb 2000 - Jan 2003.
Joined Santramnetrachikitsalaya, Nadiad as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Feb - 2003. It is currently doing more than 15,000 cataract surgeries per year. Job responsibilities included screening and management of patients on out patient basis. One of the major responsibilities was to handle surgical load. Worked from Feb 2003 - May 2004
Gained experience in contact lens dispensing at L.V.Prasad eye institute in a workshop conducted in July 2003. A four day workshop, apart from dealing with the basics, all the contact lens dispensing details were provided.
Aquired the advanced skills in cataract surgery (Phacoemulsification) at Shroff eye Hospital in Jan 2004.
Worked as visiting eye surgeon at Randheja Sarvajanik Hospital, Gandhinagar. Job responsibilities include screening and managing patients with various eye problems. Surgical work mainly includes cataract and glaucoma. Currently doing more than 2500 surgeries per year.
Currently working as visiting eye surgeon at Niramay Tirth Hospital, BhagvatVidhyapith, Sola, Ahmedabad since June 2004 till date. Job responsibilities include screening and surgical work. Currently doing more than 350 surgeries per year.
